Komplett erhaltene Blindenbriefe sind also kaum möglich!

Letter of a blind person as a wrapper from Paris with arrival stamp of Saumur dated 09.05.1869 with printed matter postage of 2 centimes

Letters for the blind from this time were always sent as wrappers. When the inwardly folded sheet with Braille was opened, the wrapper and the stamp were usually destroyed, as the postage stamp was glued half to the letter and the other half to the wrapper. Completely preserved letters for the blind are therefore hardly possible!
